Legal Requirement
As a landlord, you are legally required to ensure all gas appliances, flues and fittings in your rental properties are checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer every 12 months.
- Have an annual gas safety check (CP12) carried out on every gas appliance, flue and fitting
- Keep a record of the gas safety check for 2 years
- Provide a copy of the Gas Safety Record to existing tenants within 28 days and to new tenants before they move in
- Ensure any unsafe gas appliances or fittings are repaired or removed
